Assignment details
There will be FOUR podcasts
Each podcast is to be 5-7 minutes in length
You are to use voice, music, sound effects etc to make the podcast interesting
The podcast must be put online and available via subscription
Work together as a whole class to provide continuity between programs such as the same theme music and format
What is podcasting?
Define what podcasting is in terms of developments, concepts and trends
What are the various forms of podcasting? (eg vodcasting)
Who is podcasting?
Give current examples of best-practice use of podcasting in education, business, news etc
Why are people podcasting?
Can you contact musicians, news agencies, teachers etc and ask them why they are podcasting and what their best-practice approach is?
How do you podcast?
What are the IT systems that support podcasting?
Hardware and software for creating a podcast
XML files
Podcatching software
Difference between digital and analogue
Once a podcast/audio file is created how and where is uploaded?

How is a podcast distributed? How do you subscribe to a podcast?
